Some agencies like to turn out
large numbers of divers in a short period of time. This is not in itself a
bad thing. Where the problems arise are when these divers are certified
yet seem to have not gotten many of the skills and much of the knowledge
that it takes to truly be comfortable in the water. Training with me,
James Lapenta, and SEI Diving assures you of one of the most comprehensive
training courses you can take as a beginning scuba diver! Our course is
not designed to get you into the water as quickly as possible. Rather we
strive to put you in the water as safely and as skilled as possible. Over
the course of 6-8 weeks we will develop your
skills and knowledge, first in the pool and then in open water. By the end
of your Open Water training you will have the knowledge, skills, and
confidence to plan and execute dives in conditions similar to or better
than that in which you have trained.
